David Côté, son of André Côté, always knew he wanted to follow his father’s footsteps, but he really saw his passion for the fruit and vegetable growing emerge after his internship in Ontario on a melon farm. He is gifted with a great sense of humour, optimism and discipline which are indispensable to keep up with the daily chores of a farmer and to overcome climatic, political and environmental challenges. Le Maraîcher André Côté, based in St-Paul d’Abbotsford, is an ambitious business that wishes to offer the best quality product while working in a sustainable way for the health of both environment and customers. They offer a great deal of fruits and vegetables at La Place des producteurs but you can pick-on-own strawberries, blueberries and apples as well or find their products in several kiosks. They are one of the rare producers of Saskatoon berry, a sweet and delicious blueberry-pear like fruit.
